National Cartographic Exhibition
Introduction
Several individuals and organisations - including government, industry, academia and private sector - will participate in the National Cartographic Exhibition, which will be open to delegates throughout the Conference.
The maps and other cartographic products contributed by participants will be arranged thematically. The Exhibition will provide a nationwide sampling of the current and best map design and production, from both government and commercial cartographic agencies. Themes include atlases, geology, hydrography, recreation, topography, urban and others. In addition to map series and single sheets, the Exhibition will include satellite images, books, relief models, computer maps and multimedia products.
The best exhibits, selected by the New Zealand Cartographic Society's panel of judges, will represent New Zealand at the International Cartographic Exhibition ICA 2009 in Santiago, Chile.
