A Timeline for the competition

The following timeline applies to the National (NZ) and International Barbara Petchenik Children’s Map Competition:

Sept-Nov 2012            Organising sponsors, promotional material, judges, visits, etc.

Nov 2012                     Details of the Barbara Petchenik Children’s Map Award Competition distributed to schools, guiding leaders & others; including rules, timeline for entries, sponsors,            prizes, etc.

Nov –Mar 2013            Competition heavily promoted in NZ schools (especially in Wellington).

28 Mar 2013                Entries into the NZ National NZCS run Barbara Petchenik Children’s Map Competition close.
             All entries must be in the coordinator’s hands by the end of this day!

2-14 Apr 2013              Judging of NZ competition.

15 Apr 2013                 Winners of NZ Children’s Map Competition announced.  Winner’s entries forwarded onto ICA for entry into the International Barbara Petchenik Children’s Map Competition.

1 May 2013                  Entries into the International ICA run Barbara Petchenik Children’s Map Competition close.
